It begins with loving yourself…

How are you feeling today? are you feeling lovable? How we feel about ourselves influences how we live our lives. People that feel that they are likeable and lovable usually have better relationships, even with themselves.  If you don’t love yourself you really can’t expect someone else to love “You”.

I’m sure you have heard about the Law of Attraction, or manifesting by now, if you haven’t then you must be living in seclusion or something lol. That seems to be all the rage right now and I know a lot of people think that as long as they can “believe it they can achieve it” well that might be true to an extent but the key word here is the word “achieve” believing isn’t enough, in order to achieve something you have to work toward it.

One way to do this is by positive affirmations. Positive self affirmations are healing and can help you free yourself from your negative inner voice and the over dependence you place on other people’s opinions of you. Positive self affirmations can also help you to resolve negative feelings from the past and give you permission to grow, to change, to take risk and to create a better life for yourself but this all takes work and commitment on your part to do this, it’s not just going to happen because you “wish” it or just “believe” it, you must take action! You may even need to enlist the help of others. This can be a very important step to improving your self esteem but it can also be one of the most difficult things to do…asking for help! don’t be afraid to ask.

A good practice I have found is to start giving thanks every morning for those things in your life that are working and that are important to you, manifest a grateful heart. Just a few weeks ago I went to work at my second job and I was unhappy when I got there because they were not being fair in the way they were dividing up the stations ( I work as a waitress by the way) they had given me only three tables, two of which were two person tables, this is not the first time this has happened either. I decided that I wouldn’t say anything and I started walking around with a smile on my face muttering to myself ” have a grateful heart, have a grateful heart” and a short amount of time later the hostess asked me if I could take a table of fifteen in the next room and I said “Sure”. That was the best night in tips that I have had there. You have to be grateful for what you have and you will attract more good things to you.

Life isn’t always what we think is fair but you have to be grateful for what you have and be happy, learn to love yourself.

It is amazing how our self esteem impacts our life in almost every area and how we were born with our self esteem perfectly intact and how it can diminish over the course of our childhood leaving us as adults feeling worthless and unloved. This is not true at all, you are unique and special. If you or someone you love are suffering from low self esteem I would like to suggest you read “How to Build Your Self-Esteem in Just One Weekend“  it is easy to understand and full of exercises and helpful information. You owe it to yourself, you deserve to be happy and feel good about yourself!

I am here to offer my help and believe me when I tell you that I know how it feels to have low self esteem as I have been there, it’s not where you want to be, you deserve so much more and I hope that I can be of help to you. Please feel free to leave a comment or ask for more information or even offer any suggestions I would love to hear from you and know what you are thinking.

You are AWESOME!

Live, Love, Laugh,

Kathy
