It begins with loving yourself…

It’s time for ghost and goblins, tomorrow is Halloween!!
Do you have any plans for Halloween? You know this would be a good day to try and step out of the box and out of your comfort zone by dressing up and having a little fun. What better time than Halloween is there to dress up and just look silly?

I know it may sound a little silly yet there really is something quite liberating about dressing up in a costume and maybe looking a little silly.

It really is quite fun. I know for some of you this may sound like a difficult thing to do but it’s really not that bad, try it!

I have been dressing up for the past 8 years….something before that I never really thought about doing…yet once I did it….I love to dress up….I do it knowing that no one else where I work will dress up in anything more than just a seasonal sweater or some sort of outfit, but I will be the only one in costume….and you know what??? that’s OK!

I have never yet had anyone tell me that I was stupid or anything like that, most people enjoy it, it makes them laugh…and to me that’s what it’s all about….laughing and having a good time.

I read a little poem today and I would like to share it with you, I’m not sure who wrote it but it had a little hidden message in it that I will share after you read it.

We bought a fat orange pumkin

The plumpest sort they sell.

We neatly scooped the inside out

And only left the shell.

We carved a funny looking face

Of silly shape and size,

A pointy nose, a jagged mouth

And two enormous eyes.

We set it in a window

And we put a candle in,

Then lit it up for all to see

Our jack-o’lantern grin.

The jacl-o’antern chuckled

Then winked his funny eye,

“I would rather be a pumkin-face

Than be inside a pie.”

Jolly wolly pumpkin-face

You’re happy tell us why.

I’d rather be a pumpkin face

And not a pumpkin pie!

Well did you see any little messages in there? I found more than one if you really think about it. I think one of the most important things it is saying is don’t just be an empty shell with all the insides scooped out and feeling like you are put on display but look at the positive side and be glad for where you are because things could always be worse.

Be Happy from the iside out and let your light shine for the whole world to see!

Have a safe and Happy Halloween and step out on the wild side…dress up and have some fun. Don’t worry about what others think….Just Do It! You will be glad you did.

If you do dress up I would love to hear from you about how it went and to see your costume and I will share mine with you as well ok?

you are Awesome!
